A few photos of the roadside in White Sand beach, Koh Chang
This is the most heavily built up area
on the island. But it's still a far cry from any of the beaches on
Samui or Phuket for example. On the fringes of high season it does
offer a pretty good mix of life without being overcrowded.
The first thing you see on White Sand
is the welcoming sight of a 7-eleven minimart. You can relax, you're
in civilisation.

Just down the road a little Tonsai is a
good restaurant.

The Texas Steakhouse, upstairs.
Danish run, and worth a visit if you're getting bored of Thai & seafood.

Old hippies, live music & decent steaks
= a recipe for success

Rooms are good value and you're
guaranteed a good value meal here, very popular place to eat on the beach in
the evening.

Shops.

More construction, this will be Koh
Chang Lagoon's new hotel wing.

Kacha Resort's spirit houses. A
bottle of Fanta a day keeps the spirits more than happy - probably buzzing
from the e-numbers.

Just one of the many tailors - single
out for the promise of God Service.

The recently opened Alina Grande -
notable only for being yet another resort that uses the word 'Grande' in
their name. Classy, eh?

This is a good place to eat cheaply.
Very popular with Thais and tourists - no need to break the bank for lunch.

Haircut & a house sir?
Everyone's an agent for Siam Royal View development, even this barber.
