The (new) Koh Chang Photo Pages

Kai Bae, Lonely Beach & Bangbao Shopping Experience

There's something to suit all tastes in these three shopper's paradises, providing your tastes don't extend any further than beachwear, tailors, tacky souvenirs and a variety of sandals.

At the north end of Kai Bae this beautiful new shopping street is taking shape opposite Cliff Beach Resort.

Totally out of charter, a rather nice wooden house is being built next to the new slum area retail outlets . . .

Move 200 metres south to probably the nicest shop units on Koh Chang . .

By now you're probably missing some ramshackle shops and roadside stalls, fear not, they are only a couple of minutes walk away . . .

 . . and there's more of them . .

 . . and more . .

 . . and more . .

Still not found what you are looking for, head south to Lonely Beach.  If you want an airbed or a western size t-shirt with 'Coke' or 'RedBull' written in Thai script then they've got it.

As you've come this far, you might as well drive the few remaining kilometres to the traditional souvenir shopping village pf Bangbao.  They've got half a dozen ATMs and a couple of small car parks,  which must mean there's something to spend your money on . . .

 . . .and there is . . . traditional Thai beachwear and bikinis . . .

 . . .not forgetting t-shirts and dried fish by-products . . .

. . and of course the fake Croc shop, truely a highlight of the Bangbao shopping experience.
