Thai Style Villas overlooking Bangbao Bay, Koh Chang
Coconut Bay Villas is Koh Chang's smallest housing
development with only three spacious houses built on 3200sqm of land. The
villas are located on the western peninsula of Bangbao Bay and come with
a private beach and stunning views across the bay towards the fishing
village of Bangbao and kilometer long Klong Kloi Beach.
The design for Coconut Bay Villas was based on the
modern Thai style used in projects such as Dhevatara Cove in Samui and
Tranquility Bay Residence on the opposite shore of the bay which combine
a modern bright interior with a traditional Thai style exterior and landscaped
tropical gardens.
The aim was to provide a high level of quality but
at a lower than expected price. Compare the living space, land
size and price for these villas to those at Siam Royal View and
Tranquility Bay on Koh Chang or to any beachfront location in Samui or
Phuket and you'll see that you get a great deal for you money.
The houses have been designed by the a well-known
local architect who has undertaken projects for both the government and
private sector in Trat and is currently also supervising the
construction of the Grand Lagoon II hotel on White Sand Beach.
Overseeing the construction of the villas is a Bangkok based engineering
and construction consultancy firm who will handle all aspects of the
building process from start to finish including landscaping. They
are currently also also involved in other projects on Koh Chang.
Building work will commence in October 2007, at the end of the rainy
season, and the developer will guarantee all houses will be completed
within 12 months.
The Location
The three houses are built on a plot of land
approx 100m in length by 30m wide. Access to the land is by public
road at the rear of the land. (Although, currently a track passes across
the front of the land - this will be closed when construction begins.)
