A member of the family that owns 90% of
this small island is building Koh Mak's first housing development
which is also advertised on this site. Adjacent to this
development he also has an 10 Rai plot of land. Part of this
will be used for a housing project in the future, and part is
available to buyers looking for land for a house on Koh Mak.
This land cant easily be compared to
anything on Koh Chang as there is nowhere on Koh Chang where you could
buy land and build a private house with sea views and yet be within 5 minutes walk of two long
expanses of palm tree fringed sandy beach.
The seller wants this land to be bought by
people who'd like to build a house or holiday home on Koh Mak and
it is not
for sale for commercial use - such as a resort or backpacker huts.
However, individual buyers are of course free to rent out their
house when they are not using it. Plots of half Rai and 1 Rai
are available. But note that land will be limited to 1
Rai per buyer. The seller also insists in meeting all buyers in
person prior to agreeing any sale.
