The Original 'Good Time' Development
Background
In February 2006 a a member of the family who
owns 90% of Koh Mak began work on the islands first small scale
housing development. The developer is Thai/German and gave up
a career in Germany to take a chance on building 16 houses on an 11 Rai ( 18,000sqm) plot of his own land.
The initial aim was to sell a handful of houses
by the end of 2006. In August 2006, I added information about the
development to this site. By the end of the year the
development was all but sold out. At present only a couple of
plots for single storey bungalows remain unsold.

Construction Progress
As of February '07 several houses have been
completed and the buyers have taken possession. Work on several other houses is well
underway. The pool was completed in late December 2006, and the Spa
is 80% complete. The existing restaurant is being replaced and
rebuilt with two floors to afford diners much better sea views.
