Introduction . . .
When
a housing development is this big it deserves it's own section rather
than a mere page of information.
Upon completion, it will include over 600 villas
plus a marina with moorings for 200 boats. This will all be built on
360 Rai (approx. 150 acres.) of prime beachfront an hillside land
. . . so it's big.
In a few years time they have everything from
small condominium units inland to exclusive million dollar villas
on a private beach accessible only by sea. But for now
development is still in the early stages.
The
development will include the entire 1.5km length of Chang Noi beach, located
in Klong Son, at the north western tip of Koh Chang. Therefore,
privacy & security definitely shouldn't be concerns for buyers as all
access into and out of the development can easily be controlled.
(There is a chance that burglars could canoe up to the shore, but if
you're worried about this happening you're the type of person who will
also have several alarm systems on your house.)

beach, is a Swiss led consortium and has a proven track record of upmarket housing developments in Thailand. The Koh Chang project
follows on directly from the success of Siam Royal View Pattaya which has a
good reputation amongst expats as being a well built & well managed
development.
The well designed, modern Thai style detached
villas will be situated right on the beach or in the garden amongst coconut
palms. At present, Oct 2006, the vast majority of the beachfront plots in
Phase 1 have been snapped up and Pahse 2 - consisting of additional
plots at the southern end of the beach and Marina plots - with boat moorings
on the river
estuary have just been released for sale.
Aside from the marina, Siam Royal View Koh Chang will have pools,
restaurants, a spa, lush landscaped gardens, private pier - to provide
transport to and from the mainland & Trat airport, water sports
facilities including a marina, and 24 hour security.
It will also be home to the world's largest
filtered salt water lagoon. Filtering the sea water will ensure that owners of
plots bordering the lagoon have an 'inland sea' bordered by an artifical
beach in which to swim in and sunbathe on.
There is little or no nightlife in the vicinity, however there are
small local restaurants and shops in the nearby village. More are sure
to spring up to cater to the needs of buyers at Siam Royal View. However,
the bright lights of White Sand beach are only 10 minutes drive away, here
you will find plenty of bars and inexpensive beachfront restaurants serving
both Western & Thai food in addition to locally caught seafood.
According to projections produced by the Thai government,
Koh Chang is expected to reach the standard of better known islands such
as Samui & Phuket within several years. The one major difference is that as the interior of Koh
Chang is all National Park, this should ensure that the island retains it's
natural beauty in the years to come.
